Thea Doolittle

Hello! My name is Thea Doolittle (she, her, hers). Clients describe me as non-judgmental, understanding, and supportive. I strive to work collaboratively with my clients and ensure that they feel heard, understood, and empowered. To me, the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for discovery, healing, and change. I am passionate about supporting clients as they address barriers preventing them from personal growth and happiness.

I believe in providing a safe, non-judgmental space for others to feel comfortable in exploring and examining themselves and their circumstances. I am dedicated to working inclusively with people from all backgrounds. The communities I support include (but are not limited to) are: BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), LGBTQIA+, TGNC, youth and young adults, survivors of trauma, adoptees, caretakers, and introverts. My therapeutic approach is personalized to meet the needs of each individual client. Using various theories and evidence-based methods, I will help you effectively meet your goal(s). Collaboratively, we will develop a path of healing best suited for you.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. During my final year of graduate school, I trained under the supervision of Akeera at a College Counseling Center. There I guided diverse college students towards personal and academic success. I am excited to continue practicing under the supervision and training of Akeera at Amani Nia Therapeutic Services. Additionally, my previous experience also includes: working with individuals in substance use treatment, counseling children and adolescents in camps, helping individuals faced with homelessness, and mentoring middle school aged girls from urban communities.

I am committed to supporting you along your journey towards finding peace and positivity. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and I look forward to getting to know you.

More About Me.

Lover Of...

Writing

What is your narrative?

Ever since I was young, I have had a colorful imagination. I am passionate about storytelling and the written word. Writing allows me to be creative and intentional in self-expression. Writing is a powerful tool that provides clarity and comfort.

Dance

Let’s find your rhythm.

Dancing is my preferred method for relieving stress. I enjoy engaging my mind, body, and spirit through the beat of the music. It is an escape and a tool for connection. Dance allows for me to express myself and interact with others without words. It is a shared understanding and form of communication that I deeply enjoy.

Nature Hikes & Walks

We are on this path together.

I enjoy challenging myself with arduous nature hikes and observing the beautiful view at the top. It gives me a feeling of accomplishment. I value the moments that I am able to disconnect from technology and embrace the beauty of nature. Surrounding myself with the natural environment allows me to reflect inwardly as well as to connect outwardly to other living beings.
