Sean Clay, LPC (He/Him)

Empowering. Patient. Perceptive.
Hello, I’m Sean. My clients describe me as nonjudgmental, patient, and perceptive. I believe the heart of effective counseling is a trusting relationship—one where you feel safe to explore your inner world and mindfulness, while being understood and respected.

My Approach

I’m committed to equity and advocacy for all minority identities—racial, ethnic, sexual, gender, and disability alike. I understand that diversity is a vital source of empathy, growth, and healing.

I work with:

  • BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color)

  • LGBTQIA+, TGNC individuals

  • Youth and young adults

  • People in interracial relationships

  • Trauma survivors

  • Members of non-traditional families and students

My therapeutic approach is collaborative and personalized: I listen deeply to your unique experiences and needs, then create a tailored plan to support your healing and growth.

Training & Experience

  • Worked extensively with young adults and students at a college counseling center

  • Supported clients in personal and academic well-being

  • Addressed substance misuse, prevention, healthy coping, and mindfulness

What Grounds and Moves Me

Pencil Sketching

Make it your own.

I love discovering inspiration from nature, everyday moments, and art, and creating something uniquely my own.

Fitness

Persevere toward your goals.

Martial arts, soccer, track, and weight training help me practice perseverance and reach new goals.

Losses are lessons.

Whether Uno or Mario Kart, I appreciate how games teach resilience—losses are lessons that fuel growth.
